Use of Dermatoglyphics

years.
By 246 BCE, Chinese officials used finger prints to seal documents. Before 851 CE, Chinese merchants impressed fingerprints to authenticate loans. By 702, Japan had adopted the Chinese practice of sealing contracts with fingerprints.
Both Russia and China have been using complex systems of analyzing fingerprints in choosing candidates for their Olympic programs for almost three decades. In China, the selection process starts at the age of four.
In our modern society, application of fingerprints is being used for personal authentication, for instance to access a
